So. To tell you a little bit about what's been going on before I started blogging.
First week, Orientation, was kinda boring. They made everything seem so important and serious. Now, I can agree that there are many things that should not be taken lightly. But we should also have immense amounts of fun. We're still kids, even though we're supposed to be grown ups.
So International House went to Darien Lake. An amusement park an hour from campus, with sick rides and lots of games! I loved it. Imagine rushing down from a 50m pole, with nothing more than a string as support...It was insane, and I believe there is a video on Facebook that can give you an idea..
Other stuff we've done. Oh yes, Mud Tug. That was hilarious. Mix at least 100 kids with blue skies and searing sun, add a rope and a pit of mud and there t is. The mud tug. In Norwegian it's drakamp i gjørme. It was insane. My team lost even in the first round, but it was so much fun!!
More stuff? Yes, game competition. A team from International House competed against a team from Art House, in five diffferent games. DDR (dance, dance revolution), Brawl (videogame), air hockey, guitar hero and pool. Oh yes and ping pong, so I guess that makes it six. We won. Nuff said. ^^,
More? Some of us went to eat at a greek restaurant a few weeks back. Good food, nice people. Yeahl.
Also this weekend was Brick City Homecoming. It was not something we did as a House, but there was a lot of stuff going on on campus. For instance, I made the sweetest hat ever! Many of the people on-floor had parents visiting. Not me, but that's okay. I'll see everyone at christmas.
Other than that it's just the random things we do that makes it worth it. The everyday things. The moments. The words. The hugs, and the smiles.
And mid-terms are finished. Only three more weeks before finals...heh...and then it's two weeks break where I'm going to see Pittsburgh, PA. After the break it's three weeks of school, and then CHRISTMAS! So I have stuff to do before I go home.
Up, up and away. Stay safe and be nice.
